Our two family villas sit on the hillside above Stagnolu bay in La Trinité de Porto-Vecchio, with a first-line view over the Gulf of Porto-Vecchio. From here, Benedettu beach is about 5 minutes by car, Cala Rossa 5 to 10, and Saint-Cyprien around 10. You can change beach every day without ever losing your sea view at home.

Your beach map, from closest to furthest

Start with Benedettu, roughly 5 minutes by car, the natural morning swim. Cala Rossa, one of the gulf's most photographed shores, is 5 to 10 minutes away, and the long sand of Saint-Cyprien about 10. Push 15 minutes north and you reach Pinarello, a beach watched over by its Genoese tower. Keep the famous pair, Palombaggia and Santa Giulia, for day trips at 25 to 30 minutes. And when the sea gets busy in August, a freshwater river swim is only about 10 minutes inland. Shops are 2 to 5 minutes away, so picnic supplies never slow you down.

Two villas, one hillside above the gulf

Villa Giulietta and Villa Giulio stand 40 metres apart and each sleep 10 guests in 5 bedrooms with 5 bathrooms. Giulietta spreads over 235 m² in 1600 m² of enclosed grounds with vines and olive trees, a 13 by 4 m heated saltwater pool with a children's basin, and a 150 m² teak terrace with summer kitchen. Giulio answers with 5 sea-view bedrooms including 3 suites over 20 m², a large heated saltwater pool facing the gulf facing the gulf, a private cinema room and a 75 m² living room. Back from the beach, the day continues

Beach mornings pair well with slow afternoons at the villa. Both heated saltwater pools stay swimmable from May to October, evening swims included, so a late return from Palombaggia still ends in the water. Children move between the pétanque court, ping-pong, giant chess and badminton at Giulietta; adults claim the billiards, the gym or Giulio's library and island bathtub. Porto-Vecchio's old town and marina are 5 to 10 minutes away for dinner, and pets are welcome, so nobody in the family stays home. Air conditioning, wifi and free parking come with both houses.
